Time, Day, Date n Month

Speaking
Eric         : What day is it?
Bond     : It’s Wednesday
Eric         : What’s the date?
Bond     : It’s April 14, 1998
Eric         : Bond, today is my birthday?
Bond     : Oh Yeaach. Congratulation
Eric         : Thank you
To ask about the day, you say:
·         What day is today?
·         What day is tomorrow?
·         What day is the day after tomorrow?
·         What day is October the thirteenth?
·         What day was yesterday?
·         What day was the day before yesterday?
·         What day was January the tenth?
To answer these questions, you say:
·         Today is Monday.
·         Tomorrow is Tuesday.
·         The day after tomorrow is Wednesday.
·         October the thirteenth is Thursday.
·         Yesterday was Friday.
·         The day before yesterday was saturday
·          January the tenth was Sunday.
To ask about Month, you say:
·         What month is now?
·         What month were you born?
·         What month was Kennedy assassinated?

To answer the question above, you say:
·         It is August.
·         I was born in June
·         It was September
There is some variation in saying the dates, You can say:
v  17 August 1945                  : August Seventeen Ninteen Forty Five
v  17th August 1945               : The Seventeenth of August Nineteen Forty Five
v  August 17, 1945                : August Seventeen Nineteen Forty Five
v  August17th, 1945             : The Seventeenth of August Nineteen Forty Five
To ask the time at the moment, you say:
§  Excuse me, what time is it?
§  Excuse me, can you tell me the time?
§  Excuse me, have you got the time?
To answer the question above, you may say:
§  It’s ten o’clock
§  My watch says ten thirteen
§  The time is half past seven
Saying Time
It’s 11.00              : It’s eleven o’clock
It’s 11.10              : It’s ten minutes pat eleven
It’s 11.15              : It’s eleven fifteen or a quarter past eleven.
It’s 11.30              : it’s eleven thirty or Half past eleven
It’s 11.45              : It’s eleven forty-five or a quarter to twelve
It’s 11.55              ; It’s five minutes to twelve
12.00PM              : Noon
12.00AM              : Midnight
